View and edit PDF document properties
Drop in a PDF and this tool reads its Document Information dictionary and fills each entry into an editable field: the Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creator and Producer that appear in the Document Properties panel of most PDF readers and in search results, the created and modified dates, the Trapped setting, and any other field the file carries, such as Company or Department. You can add a field of your own as well. Change what you need, leave the rest, and download a new PDF with the updated metadata. Drop in several PDFs and the same values are stamped onto every one, delivered as a single zip. Fields you do not touch are preserved exactly, and clearing a field removes it.
Private by design
Everything runs in your browser with pdf-lib, so your file is never uploaded to a server. It edits both places a PDF says who wrote it: the standard Info dictionary that most readers display, and the XMP packet — an XML copy that Acrobat, InDesign and Word all write and that several readers prefer. Editing one and not the other leaves a file that still carries the old title and the old author’s name. A packet that cannot be rewritten cleanly is dropped rather than shipped stale. Your pages, text and images are left untouched — only the document properties change.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and rewritten entirely in your browser with pdf-lib, so it never leaves your device and the tool keeps working offline.
Will editing metadata change my pages or text?
No. Only the document properties are changed — Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creator, Producer, the created and modified dates, Trapped, and any custom field you edit. The pages, text and images are copied through untouched, and any field you do not edit is preserved.
Can I remove metadata from a PDF?
Yes. Clear a field and save, and that property is removed from the PDF. Both places are edited: the classic Info dictionary shown in Document Properties, and the XMP packet some writers embed alongside it — including the keywords, which live in two different properties in there.
