Terms of Use
Last updated: August 28, 2026
These terms cover your use of MakerBox. They are short because the site is simple: it hands you a tool, the tool runs on your own machine, and nothing about you is kept.
What the tools are
Every tool here runs in your browser. Your files and text are read by JavaScript on your own device, the work happens there, and the result is returned to you. Nothing is uploaded and there is no server that holds a copy. A handful of tools download a large one-off resource the first time you use them — a font, a recognition model — from this site; that is the only traffic involved, and it goes one way.
No account, no charge
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay. The site is supported by advertising. Tools are added, changed and occasionally removed without notice; a tool you rely on today may work differently tomorrow, so keep your own copy of anything that matters.
Your files are yours
You keep every right you had in whatever you open here. We claim nothing, because we never receive it. You are responsible for having the right to use the files you process, and for what you do with the results.
What is not promised
The tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. They are written carefully and tested, and they still may contain mistakes, produce a wrong result, or fail on a file they have not met before. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, and keep the original. This is particularly true of the tools that change a document in place — editing, redacting, compressing — where the output replaces something you cannot get back if you have not kept it.
Nothing here is professional advice. The calculators implement published formulas and are estimates; the health ones in particular are not medical advice, and the financial ones are not financial advice.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site — including lost or corrupted files, or decisions made on a tool's output.
Fair use
Use the tools for anything lawful. Do not use them to process material you have no right to, and do not attempt to disrupt the site for other people. Because everything runs on your own device, there is no rate limit to respect — only your own hardware.
Links elsewhere
Some pages link to other sites, and some of those links may earn us a commission. That never changes what a tool does or what it costs you, which is nothing.
Changes and contact
These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did. Questions, corrections and bug reports go to eogkr.kim@gmail.com, and they are read.
