A watermark you can actually place
Drop in a PDF and a watermark is already on every page. From there it is an ordinary object: drag it anywhere, pull its corners to resize it, spin it to any angle, change the colour and the transparency, and type whatever you want instead of CONFIDENTIAL. Every page keeps it, and it is written as real text rather than a picture pasted over the page, so the document underneath stays selectable and searchable.
Watermark tools that offer three fixed positions and one opacity are the reason people give up and open something else. There are no fixed positions here.
What a watermark does, and what it does not
It marks a document; it does not protect one. The text is a real object on the page, which is what keeps it crisp at any zoom and selectable underneath — and it also means a determined reader can take it off much the way you put it on. For anything you actually need to control, the Save screen can set a password, and redaction removes content instead of covering it. Use a watermark to say whose copy this is, not to make it unreadable.
Nothing is uploaded
Every page is read, edited and written in your browser with pdf.js and pdf-lib. Your file never leaves your device, and the editor keeps working offline once it has loaded.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put the watermark exactly where I want it?
Yes. It is placed on every page to start with, and then you drag it, resize it by its corners, rotate it to any angle and set its transparency. There is no list of positions to pick from.
Can I use my own logo instead of text?
Yes — use the Signature · Image button to place a picture, then set its transparency and switch on "all pages". It behaves exactly like the text watermark.
Does the watermark go on every page?
Yes, by default, and it repeats itself on pages you add later. Turn "all pages" off in the properties panel if you want it on one page only.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn into the file in your browser with pdf-lib; nothing is sent anywhere.
