PDF to EPUB

Convert a PDF into a reflowable EPUB ebook for any e-reader — 100% in your browser, no upload

Drop a PDF here or click to browse

🔒 Processed in your browser — never uploaded. The text is extracted and reflows to fit any screen, so the ebook will not reproduce the PDF’s page layout, columns or fonts.

Convert a PDF into a reflowable ebook

Drop in a PDF and this tool pulls out its text, splits it into chapters, and packages everything as a standard EPUB you can open in Apple Books, Google Play Books, Calibre, or any e-reader. It all runs in your browser — your file is never uploaded to a server.

Text, not an exact copy of the layout

Like other client-side converters, this reads the text layer of the PDF and reflows it, so the words resize and rewrap to fit any screen. That means columns, exact fonts, and page-perfect positioning are not preserved. A scanned PDF that is only images of pages has no text to extract and needs OCR first.

Check it before it downloads

Before anything is saved you see the chapters it will make and the exact text each one will contain. Headers, footers and page numbers printed on every paper page are detected and listed so you can drop them — or keep any you want — and words split by a hyphen at the end of a line are put back together. Any page with no readable text is named up front, so you know if a scan slipped into the file.

Frequently asked questions

Will the EPUB look exactly like my PDF?

No. This extracts the text and reflows it like a normal ebook, so it resizes to fit any screen but does not reproduce the exact fonts, columns, or page layout of the original PDF.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Not straight away, but drop it in anyway: when no page has any text, the tool offers to read the words on your device (nothing is uploaded) and converts the result. You can also open it in the PDF editor and choose "make the scanned words searchable" — it reads the pages on your device and lays the words back in as invisible text — then convert the result here.

How are chapters decided?

You choose how many pages go into each chapter. The tool groups the extracted pages accordingly and builds a table of contents so your e-reader can navigate between them.
