Turn a Word document into a paginated PDF
Drop in a Word .docx file and download a clean, multi-page PDF. The document is read in your browser with mammoth, which pulls out the underlying text and structure — headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and pictures — and the content is then laid out with pdf-lib: headings in a larger bold face, list items with a bullet and a hanging indent, tables drawn as real grids whose header row repeats across a page break, pictures embedded and centred, and body text word-wrapped to the page and flowed onto new pages automatically. Choose A4 or Letter and the PDF is built on the spot, with the finished pages shown on screen before you download.
Runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded
Everything happens locally, so your document never leaves your device and no server is involved — safe for contracts, drafts, and internal files, and it keeps working offline. Tables are redrawn as real grids, pictures are embedded, and bold and italic survive. What cannot come along is named on screen before you download rather than discovered afterwards: page headers and footers, review comments, charts and diagrams, equations, and multi-column page layouts — and any picture your browser could not decode is listed by name. A Korean, Japanese or Chinese document comes out properly: the text is drawn with a real embedded font and stays selectable, and under Font you choose which one — twelve faces, from Korean sans, serif, monospace, handwriting and display styles to Noto Sans JP and Noto Sans SC, each listed with what it costs to download. Nanum Gothic is the default, the face is fetched only when the document needs it and then cached, and your choice is remembered. The exact Word look — fonts, colours, spacing and where the page breaks fall — is redrawn here rather than copied, and a numbered list arrives with bullets. It reads the modern .docx format, not the older binary .doc.
Frequently asked questions
Is the PDF an exact copy of how the document looks in Word?
It is faithful to the content, not pixel-perfect. Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, pictures and bold/italic are rebuilt and laid out cleanly; page headers and footers, comments, charts, equations and multi-column layouts cannot come along — and the tool tells you which of those your document contains before you download.
Can I convert several documents at once?
Yes. Drop as many .docx files as you like and press Convert all: each becomes its own PDF, named after the document, and they arrive together as one .zip. One that cannot be read is named for you and the rest still come through.
Does my document get uploaded anywhere?
No. The .docx is read and converted entirely in your browser with mammoth and pdf-lib. Nothing is sent to a server, so private documents stay on your own device and the tool works offline once loaded.
It says my document has headers or charts — what happens to them?
They are left out, because the conversion reads the document's text and structure rather than photographing its pages. The tool lists exactly which of these your file contains before you download, so nothing disappears without you knowing. Note it reads the modern .docx format — re-save an older .doc as .docx in Word first.
