Blow one page up into a tiled poster
Drop in a PDF, choose how many columns and rows of sheets you want, and download a new PDF where the chosen page is enlarged across that grid — each sheet holds one tile of the blown-up page. Tick Every page and the whole document is blown up on the same grid into one PDF. A 2 × 2 grid turns one page into four sheets — on the default paper, a poster twice as wide and twice as tall; a 3 × 4 grid gives twelve. The finished poster size, the size of one sheet and how many times bigger than the original it comes out are all shown before you download. Print every sheet at 100%, trim the margins, and tape them together left to right, top to bottom. An optional overlap adds a shared strip along the seams so there is room to glue. The cut lines are drawn over your own page so you can see exactly where they fall, and you can drag any of them so a headline or a face is not sliced down the middle.
Private and client-side
Everything runs in your browser with pdf-lib, so your PDF is never uploaded to a server and even confidential files stay on your device. The page is embedded from the original rather than rasterized, so text and lines stay razor sharp no matter how far you enlarge them. By default each sheet is the size of the source page, or you can pick the paper you actually print on — A4, Letter, A3, A5, B5, Legal or Tabloid — and each sheet is turned the way round that wastes the least paper. Every tile is enlarged by the same amount and centred, so the taped-up sheets are the original page enlarged, never stretched. The key step is to print at Actual size — turn off Fit to page or Shrink to fit, or the tiles will not line up when taped.
Frequently asked questions
How do I print and assemble the poster?
Print every sheet at 100%, also called Actual size — make sure Fit to page, Shrink to fit and any scaling are turned off, or the tiles will not match at the seams. Then trim the white margins and tape or glue the sheets in reading order: left to right, then top to bottom. Set an overlap of a few millimetres first if you want a gluing margin along each seam.
What size are the output sheets?
Whatever paper you choose. Left as it is, each sheet matches the source page, so a 2 × 2 poster of an A4 page is four A4 sheets that assemble into roughly A2. You can also pick A4, Letter, A3, A5, B5, Legal or Tabloid and the tool sizes and turns the sheets for you — there is no need to resize the PDF first. The finished poster size and the size of one sheet are both shown in millimetres and inches before you download.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole poster is built locally in your browser with pdf-lib. Your file never leaves your device and the tool keeps working offline.
