Trim the borders off every page
Scans and exported PDFs often carry thick borders or uneven whitespace around the content. Drop a PDF here and drag straight on the page to mark the area you want to keep — the part being cut away is dimmed while you drag, and you can nudge each edge with a handle or a slider until it is exactly right, then download a copy where every page is cropped to that window. The crop works by insetting each page crop box, so the underlying text and graphics are never redrawn or rasterized and stay perfectly sharp. The trim is shown in millimetres so you never have to think in PDF points, and one button applies the same crop to every page.
Private and client-side
Everything runs in your browser with pdf-lib — your PDF is never uploaded to a server, so even confidential scans stay on your device, and the tool keeps working offline. Cropping only changes the visible window and not the content, so it is non-destructive. Both the crop box and the media box are set, so viewers and printers that ignore one of them still show the trimmed page at its new size. Cropping opens the full PDF editor, so you can also rotate, redact, sign, reorder or split the same document before you save — no second tool, no second download.
Frequently asked questions
Does cropping delete the content outside the margins?
No. Cropping only shrinks each page crop box, which is the visible and printable window. The original content is still there, just hidden, so the crop is non-destructive and can be widened again later in a full PDF editor. The trimmed area falls outside both rectangles, so it stays out of the way in every viewer and every printer.
Will the crop look the same in every reader?
Yes. A PDF records two rectangles — the page size and the region to show — and some viewers and printers honour one, some the other. Both are set to the area you kept, so the trimmed page comes out the same wherever it is opened or printed.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole crop happens locally in your browser with pdf-lib. Your file never leaves your device and the tool keeps working offline.
