Latin letters, digits and common punctuation are drawn in one handwriting font, and Korean in Nanum Pen Script, which this site sends the first time Korean is typed. Other scripts are drawn in your system font, so they will not look handwritten.
A photograph or scan of real paper works — PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP or AVIF. It is scaled to cover the sheet and never leaves your device.
Margin is the space between the edge of the sheet and the writing, in pixels of the 794-pixel-wide A4 sheet. Messiness runs from 0 (perfectly even) to 6 (scrawled); 2.5 is an ordinary hand.
Your text never leaves your device - the page is drawn in your browser and the file is generated locally.
Paper, ink and a messiness slider
Text to Handwriting turns anything you type or paste into a page that looks hand-written. Choose ruled, grid, dotted, legal-pad or blank paper — or upload a photo or scan of a real sheet and write on that — pick an ink color, set the font size, margins, line spacing and alignment on an A4 or Letter sheet, then use the messiness slider to give every letter a slightly different position and angle. When it looks right, download the page as a PNG image or a PDF; the ink, built-in paper and layout you chose are remembered on this device until you press Forget saved settings.
How it works
The Latin handwriting font is embedded in the page, the Korean one comes from this site rather than a font service, and every letter is drawn on a canvas in your browser, so the text never leaves your device and there is nothing to upload. Long lines wrap automatically and blank lines are kept, so pasted paragraphs keep their shape.

Which characters are supported?
The embedded handwriting font covers the Latin alphabet, digits and common punctuation, so English works fully, and smart quotes, dashes and ellipses are folded to plain versions automatically. Korean is drawn in the Nanum Pen Script handwriting font, downloaded from this site the first time Korean appears in your text; the downloads wait until it has arrived. Other scripts are drawn in your system font instead.
Can I export a PDF?
Yes. Download PDF saves each sheet in the preview as its own A4 or Letter page, whichever sheet size is chosen, so a long text comes out as a multi-page PDF, and Download PNG saves the stacked sheets as one image; both match the preview exactly.
