Tolerance and clean edges
The tolerance slider sets how close a pixel must be to the picked colour — measured as straight-line (Euclidean) distance in RGB — to be swapped. A low tolerance changes only near-exact matches; raising it also catches the softer, anti-aliased pixels around edges and gradients. Export a PNG so both transparency and colours are preserved losslessly.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make one colour transparent?
Click the colour on the image (or set it with the picker), turn on the Transparent toggle, raise the tolerance until the whole area drops out, then download the PNG. Matching pixels have their alpha set to 0 while every other pixel is left untouched.
What does the tolerance slider do?
It sets how far a pixel’s colour can be from the one you picked and still be swapped, measured as straight-line distance in RGB. Zero swaps only exact matches; higher values also catch nearby shades and anti-aliased edges.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
